Torsdagsklubben - Art Exhibition

I was curated by Pop-Up Arts and given the opportunity to exhibit in Copenhagen!

It's a huge opportunity that I am very grateful for.

The exhibition was organized by Pop-Up Arts in collaboration with Torsdagsklubben, which is a place for young people by young people to showcase their creations (art, music, etc.). It's a super cool initiative that was super cool to be a part of. It took place in Kødbyen, H15.

The program started with a vernissage where the focus was on the exhibited art. We were two artists who had each exhibited our own art. My works hung down from the ceiling, where they turned with the wind, they were wrapped in cellophane so that they both reflected and became part of the room. This made my art interactive and in a way alive.

Afterwards, four of my large works were hung on the wall behind the stage, where they could hang while rapper and singer Jaya Merichau performed in front of them.

It was a really exciting and different exhibition, where I had more creative freedom to set up and display my works in a new way.

About Pop-Up Arts: It is an initiative run by a group of young cultural entrepreneurs who want to bring art to the people and especially art by up-and-coming artists. We want to break down the barriers that prevent many people from experiencing more art in their lives, and this is a communicative task we will be at the forefront of solving.
